Merlot Vigneti Delle Dolomiti IGT 2023 – L’Ua

The Merlot Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT 2023 from L’Ua is a velvety, enveloping red that elegantly interprets one of the world’s most prized grape varieties, enriched by the uniqueness of the Trentino terroir. It displays an intense, brilliant red color, reminiscent of ripe cherries and juicy plums. The bouquet is rich and seductive: fresh strawberries, cherries, and plums intertwine with notes of blackcurrant, sweet spices, and a hint of vanilla. On the palate, it stands out for its softness and harmony: silky tannins envelop the mouth without ever being invasive, while the balanced structure gives way to delicate nuances of chocolate and toasted wood. The experience concludes with a rounded, long, and pleasantly persistent finish. The grapes, harvested in the sunny vineyards of the Dolomites, benefit from ideal conditions for complete ripening and a richness of aromas. After careful vinification at a controlled temperature, the wine ages in fine oak barrels, which enhance its complexity and depth without overpowering the fruit. Elegant and versatile, L’Ua Merlot is the ideal companion to rich, structured dishes such as grilled lamb, succulent beef steaks, or aged cheeses, but it can also evoke emotions during moments of relaxation.
